Historical custom-method integration. WalletConnect v1
@1URIs, Bridge URLs, andsendCustomRequestare not compatible with a current WalletConnect SDK. For a browser integration, use the Aptos Wallet Adapter.
The old integration appended a network parameter to the connection URI and used the following custom methods after user consent:

getChainId | Return the chain ID. |
signAndSubmitTransaction | Sign and submit an Aptos transaction payload. |
signMessage | Sign a message with nonce and optional address, application, and chain context. |
The response of signMessage included fullMessage, signature, and optional context. Verify the exact returned signed message and intended nonce/account; do not verify the unprefixed input alone. Do not assume Ethereum event names: the historical integration did not document an event contract.
This archive does not claim a supported WalletConnect v2 replacement for those custom methods. Keep old-version compatibility tests when maintaining an existing application. The complete historical request/response examples remain in the original reference .
