WalletConnect sessions
Use a WalletConnect-capable connection library when a dApp needs to connect to a separate wallet application. Configure the project ID, application metadata, chains, methods, and events required by your application.
For EVM connection UI, start with RainbowKit or Web3Modal / AppKit. Follow the versions documented in the chosen guide.
Keep one session context
After connection, use the selected connector’s provider for account access, requests, and events. A WalletConnect session does not inject window.$onekey.ethereum; that namespace belongs to the browser-provider integration.
Handle session rejection, expiry, disconnection, and account or chain changes. Reconfirm the selected account and network before preparing a signing request. Do not retry a rejected authorization prompt automatically.
Historical Aptos integration
The old Aptos custom-method flow used WalletConnect v1. Its @1 URI and sendCustomRequest calls are not a current WalletConnect recipe. See the legacy reference or use the Aptos Wallet Adapter for a browser integration.
